State’s KN95 Mask Program

  • March 7, 2022

The state is conducting a one-time distribution of free  for students. School Districts have been asked by the State to distribute them.

Students are not required to accept or wear a KN95 mask. The State’s indoor mask mandate remains in place through 3/11/22 after which students can elect to not wear a mask or wear a District provided surgical or KN95 mask.

Interested students will be able to pick up two (2) KN95 masks at school starting on Monday, March 14th. Please have your child inquire with their teacher if they are interested.  If you do not want your student to have KN95 masks, please ask your student not to take them.

If you have any questions about your child’s safety while wearing this respirator, please consult your child’s physician.

Superintendent's Update 2/23/2022 (Transition to Endemic)

  • Feb 23, 2022

    Dear СÀ¶ÊÓƵ Family and Community,

On February 17th Governor Newsom released California SMARTER, The next phase of California’s COVID-19 Response.  .  On or before February 28th, the governor is expected to announce a shift away from the universal mask mandate in schools.  In preparation, we are gathering information to assist us in allocating N95 and KN95 masks provided to us by the government for those who would like to continue wearing masks when they are no longer required.

Returning to normalcy will be scary for some while it can’t come soon enough for others.  In СÀ¶ÊÓƵ we will honor each other’s preferences, respect individual decisions, and extend grace to one another through this emotionally challenging time.

*This survey is anonymous and will provide data needed to support our entire community.     Please complete this survey by Friday, February 25, 2022.
