How to Access Special Education Services for Preschool-Age Children

  • Where Do I Start? If you suspect that your child may have a disability and may require special education (including speech and language services) you may seek assessment from the school district.
The purpose of this assessment is to determine if your child is a child with a disability who requires special education and related services. There are several steps in the assessment process.
