Hello! My name is Kayla Roberts and I teach 1st grade at Naranca Elementary School.  I’ve been teaching for six years. I taught 4th grade my first year, Kindergarten and Transitional Kindergarten for the past four years, and this is my first year in 1st grade!  I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Studies from San Diego State University (SDSU) as well as my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential. In addition, I received my Masters of Arts in Teaching from SDSU.

Teaching has always been a passion of mine.  I have known from a very young age that I wanted to be an elementary school teacher.  One of my favorite things about being a teacher is being able to make a difference in every child’s life.  I love watching children learn and grow. My number one goal is to make sure my students feel safe and comfortable in our classroom.

Outside of the classroom you may find me at the San Diego Zoo, New Children’s Museum or at the bay.  I love spending time with family and friends, whether we are at home or out and about!
