Hi there! My name is Kika Gutierrez and I teach 5th grade math and science at Naranca Elementary School. I received my bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Media Studies and Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from San Diego State University. This will be my second year as a Naranca Mustang and I can’t think of a better place to spend my days than teaching these amazing kids.

I am committed to showing my students that learning can be fun! I love watching the joy on their faces as they grow academically and socially. My number one goal is to teach them how to be good humans...the rest will follow! 

As a born-and-raised, San Diegan, in my free time you can find me testing out a new beach-side restaurant with friends, spending time with my family, and chasing after my dog, Storm.
