Hello, my name is Stephanie Barker and I am a teacher at Naranca Elementary School. I received my bachelor’s degree from the University of San Diego in Communication Studies with a minor in marketing. After getting my degree I started a career in event planning, I planned conferences, weddings and owned my own business. After a few years, I realized that it was not the path I wanted to be on and I went back to school in 2017 at San Diego State to get my teaching credential. I am currently working on my Masters in Teacher Education at San Diego State. 

The best part of my job is getting to see my students every single day, I love that there are no two days that go the same way. I also love hearing their ideas, sharing in their triumphs, and watching them discover new things about school and life. In my classroom, we are all on the same team and we work together to make our school a better place.

When I am not teaching, I love to travel the world, read, visit Disneyland, baseball games, bake, and spend time with my family and friends.
