Priority Six Survey

  • What is the Priority Six Survey? Ð¡À¶ÊÓƵ students grades 4-12 will be given an optional survey the weeks of March 11-22, 2024 to gather their opinions about safety and connectedness at school. Per the California Department of Education, Local Indicator 6 (LCAP) requires all school districts to administer a climate survey on an annual basis.

    The Survey is NOT Anonymous: No individual student data will be shared. Student ID’s will be captured in order to report aggregate data to site administrators and the California Dashboard.

    Survey Administration:  The survey will be administered between March 11-22, 2024 and takes less than 10 minutes for students to complete. The survey will be administered in your child’s classroom.

    This Survey is Optional: If you DO NOT want your child to participate in this survey, please complete . If you choose to fill out this form, your student will not be provided a survey and will have alternative activities provided during the survey administration.

    The Survey Content: The following 14 questions will be asked on the survey. None of the questions are required to be answered.

    1. My school is clean.
    2. I feel like I belong at my school.
    3. My classmates treat me with respect.
    4. Adults at my school treat me with respect.
    5. Adults at my school listen to me.
    6. My classmates listen to me.
    7. I enjoy being at school.
    8. I feel safe at school.
    9. The things I'm learning in school are important to me.
    10. The things I’m learning in school are important to my future. 
    11. I have a best friend at school.
    12. The adults in my school care about me.
    13. At least one adult in my school knows my interests. 
    14. At least one adult in my school knows my hopes/goals for the future.
