Welcome to Room 9, home of the Busy Bees. I am enjoying my 31st year of teaching.
I am an alumni of SDSU, San Diego State University where I earned my Liberal Studies II degree and my
Supplemental Credentials in English and Social Studies. I completed my Masters in Educational Administration at Concordia University.
My most favorite thing is to involve the students in projects. Current and past students are actively involved in the “Green Thumb Club” and “ Friends Help Friends.” We have created and maintain two butterfly gardens, one for the endangered Monarch butterflies with milkweed and Gulf Fritillary lives on the passion vine. While creating the gardens, we have also begun a succulent garden. Staff and students have noticed an increase in birds especially hummingbird.
Personally, I love reading, unique flowers, going to the theatre, traveling, antique shopping, watching movies(true stories and biographies), and getting massages. I wind down at a yummy restaurant with a beautiful sunset.
