Jacklyn Kane

Hello! My name is Jacklyn Kane and I teach 4th grade at Naranca Elementary.  I’m originally from Wisconsin and in 2003 I earned a Bachelor of Science with a major in Biology and a minor in Wildlife Management from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.  In the fall of 2004, I moved to San Diego to fulfill my dream of living on the west coast. I then attended San Diego State University to get my teaching credential and began teaching at Naranca in 2007.  In 2014, I went back to SDSU and earned a Master’s of Education with an emphasis in K-8 Mathematics.

The best part of my job is that I get to help my students navigate through life.  It’s important to me to build relationships with each one of my students and help them succeed whether it’s academically or personally.   In my classroom, all thinking styles are encouraged and celebrated and we learn from each other.

I love to spend my free time with my husband, my dog, and my friends.  We spend a lot of time traveling, trying new restaurants, hiking, playing frisbee, practicing yoga, and going to the dog park.
