Hi! My name is Holly Venaas and I am an Education Specialist/SAI teacher at Naranca Elementary School. I received my Bachelors of Science at San Diego State University and I then attended National University and received my General Education, Special Education, and Masters Degrees. 

This will be my 20th year teaching special education in CVUSD. I have always loved working with students who need the extra support, guidance, and encouragement in school, either academically and/or socially. My classroom is a place where they can come and know that they will work hard, but we will still have time for some fun. I love sharing my adventures with them, and having conversations with them about all the wonderful things the world has to offer. The greatest moments that make me so incredibly happy are when I hear the words “I did it!” and get to celebrate their accomplishments with them. 

Outside of school, I love to spend my time outdoors with my husband hiking all around San Diego and beyond. I also enjoy taking my dogs to doggy beach, their “Happy Place” and mine! During breaks, we enjoy traveling to different places and finding exciting new adventures!!!
