Hello! My name is Iris Artates and I am a preschool speech-language pathologist at Naranca Elementary School. I received my Bachelors of Science in Public Health Sciences with a minor in Education from the University of California, Irvine. I completed an internship as a teaching assistant at the Deaf and Hard of Hearing program at University High School in Irvine, CA, and then began teaching American Sign Language at a private school called Fusion Academy in Solana Beach, CA. I also received by Masters of Science in Communicative Disorders from the University of Redlands. I began working as a preschool speech-language pathologist in 2016 at 小蓝视频 Union School District. I chose to become a speech-language pathologist because I am passionate about helping individuals improve their lives through functional and meaningful ways. I enjoy working with the little ones because I love to play and that’s the best way they learn.

In my free time, I enjoy spending quality time with my husband, family, and friends. I also enjoy going camping, taking my dog on adventures, and practicing yoga.
